How to use this tool
Choose your date range and weekend pattern. The start date is included; the end date is excluded unless you select the checkbox. Enter holiday dates as YYYY-MM-DD, separated by commas or new lines. Duplicate holidays count once, and holidays already on a weekend do not subtract an extra day. Public holidays are not assumed or downloaded automatically.
Try these values
From Monday January 5 to Monday January 12, 2026 there are five Monday–Friday workdays with the end excluded. Excluding January 7 as a holiday leaves four workdays. Including January 12 adds one workday.
Start with your actual working week
Saturday and Sunday are common weekend days, but they are not universal. Choose the pattern that matches your workplace or the organization handling the task. If a delivery company works Saturdays, a Monday–Friday count may overstate the wait. If you are using the result for an official deadline, check that organization’s counting rule and any time-of-day cutoff separately.
Add observed holidays, not just holiday names
Enter the date on which the office is closed. A holiday that falls on a Sunday may be observed on Monday, and a regional holiday may apply in one location but not another. Repeated entries are removed automatically, and a holiday on an already excluded weekend is not deducted twice. Keep a copy of the dates you used if someone else needs to reproduce the calculation later.
Common questions
Are public holidays included automatically?
No. Add the relevant official holidays yourself, including observed substitute dates where applicable.
Can weekends be Friday and Saturday?
Yes. Choose Friday–Saturday, Saturday–Sunday, Sunday only, or no weekend days.
Does the count include the last day?
Only when Include end date is selected. The exact boundary convention appears with the result.
