How to use this tool

Separate numbers with spaces, commas, semicolons or new lines. Use a dot for decimal fractions and omit thousands separators. The calculator accepts up to 1,000 finite values, sorts them for the median and divides their sum by the count for the mean. Every entered value has equal weight.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Try these values

For 2, 3 and 10, the mean is 5, the median is 3 and the range is 8. The sum is 15.

Common questions

Are blank lines counted as zero?

No. Empty separators are ignored; enter 0 explicitly when it belongs in your data.

Is this a weighted average?

No. Each number counts once. A weighted average needs separate weights.
