Free tool

Runs in your browser. Your text is not uploaded for processing. Use trusted offline software for secrets, especially when third-party advertising or browser extensions are active.

How to use this tool

Paste a three-part compact JWT. The tool decodes Base64URL header and payload segments as UTF-8 JSON objects, then displays iat, nbf and exp dates when numeric. It does not verify a signature, issuer, audience, algorithm or validity. Five-part encrypted JWTs are unsupported. Use redacted test tokens rather than live credentials.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Try these values

An exp value of 0 is displayed as 1970-01-01T00:00:00.000Z. Seeing that claim does not prove the token was issued by a trusted server.

Common questions

Does my input leave this page?

The tool processes its input in your browser. It does not send the text to our server for calculation. If advertising is enabled, third-party ad scripts also run on the page; use a trusted offline tool for secrets.

Can I use the result in my project?

Yes. Check the example and limitations first, and test the output with the system that will consume it.
